The way that you decorate your home can affect your feelings and moods.
In Feng Shui, colors are believed to represent the five elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. Each color is also believed to have either peaceful (Yin) or invigorating (Yang) energy: the idea is to use both to create balance.
Red (Fire/Yang) is the color of good fortune. It is the color of passion and confidence. It is believed to help you attract recognition in your career.
Green (Wood/Yin) is a refreshing color choice. It is both calming and nourishing.
Orange (Fire/Yang) is thought to strengthen concentration and increase creativity.
Blue (Water/Yin? Is healing color. This is the most relaxing color.
Bright Yellow (Fire/Yang) brings happiness and improves communication: however too much can cause anxiety. Pale yellow(Earth/Yang) helps create stability.
Tan/Beige (Earth/Yang) promotes neatness, while Brown (Wood/Yang) is thought to make you more hard-working.
Silver (Metal/Yin) is the color of the trustworthy and romantic. White (Metal/Yang) brings clarity and efficiency, especially when paired with another Metal, like silver or gold.
Black(Water/Yin) brings abundance, especially when paired with Metals.
So when getting your homes ready for sale remember these colors. Be aware of the very important feng shui energy triangle when selling a home. The energy in the kitchen, the bathroom, and the bedroom are of the most important. Take a look at the front door!
